I’ve just installed the Gallery2 photo gallery software as a subsite on the server.  For now, I’ve moved all the MTB pictures over there.  If it works out, I’ll use the gallery for larger albums of photos in general, and start restricting the blog to the ‘artsie’ pictures.  You should be able to register and add comments and ratings to the images.  I still have to skin it to fit in more with the rest of the site.  Let me know what you think.

This past weekend, I was out at Energrow to take product photographs for them. Energrow started from a local farm looking at ways to reduce their operating costs. They now manufacture and sell a small scale vegetable oil press - pictured above. With this press, farmers can grow oil seeds (soy, canola, etc.) and press them on the farm to produce oil that they can burn in diesel engines - tractors, generators, trucks, etc. The byproduct from the pressing is a high energy meal that they can feed to their livestock. This cuts the farmer’s expenses and reduces their dependence on fossil fuels - very cool.
