Is there anyone who still has not taken track 1 or has taken track 1 but would like to take track 2? Track 1 is offered on Saturdays and sometimes Sundays. I’ve copied the info from the Forest City Velodrome website below. It would be great if a few people have not done track 1 yet if we can organize one day for you to go and figure out some sort of car pool. If someone is willing to drive they will be reimbursed for gas.
Once you have track 1 we would love to have more people coming out on Tuesday nights in the SRS van.
From the FCV site:

The time has come with about 2 months left until the start of 2009 cyclocross season in Ontario.
Look for UWCC cyclocross sessions regularly on this site.
There will be a combination of running-and-conditioning, cyclocross-skills, and riding sessions.
A bunch of people will be leading these sessions, and if anyone who is part of the club can or would like to lead some sessions, please let me know!
First session
Date: Thu Jul 16
Time: 5:30 – 6:30 pm
Location: PAC main entrance on Ring Road side (PAC/SLC parking lot at the collection of benches)
Focus: Running adaptation and conditioning work
Equipment: Running clothing/dress (no bikes for this session)
Ability levels: All (from beginner to expert/elite)
Notes: Session not recommended for those racing the Buckwallow Ontario Cup this weekend; session great workout for both cyclocross and mountain biking (lots of pro mountain bikers do running and conditioning work as part of their regular training)

See you on Thursday!

Hi Everyone
On Mondays starting next week (Monday May 25) I will be leading MTB skills rides which will teach some basic MTB riding skills, moving on to more advanced skills as the summer goes on and riders gain experience.
This week, we will focus on choosing the right gears for a certain section of trail, and riding over logs (optional! for more advanced riders)
Please come out Monday afternoon at 5:15 for this ride. We will meet at the PAC parking lot and ride over to the Hydrocut for the skills session.
Hope to see you out there!

I tried night-skiing at Betchel park and was unimpressed; therefore I have started night-snowshoeing at the cut. I plan to head out Wednesday around 7ish. Post or email me if you are interested. I plan to do this weekly as long as there is snow.

Hey Everyone,
I have been in touch with the people at the Forest City Velodrome about getting our club out for the Track 1 and 2 Training before the University Track Challenge (Which is supposed to be in early February but I haven’t found any evidence of it)
Track 1:
It sounds like All of their Sundays for Track 1 are booked up so we can’t have our own group session, but there are a number of sessions already going on that we could sign up for. (Any Saturday 11am - 1pm) If you are interested in doing Track 1, please post below and say if there are any Saturdays that are better for you.
Track 2:
A lot of us have taken Track 1 in the past years. If you are thinking of stepping up your game to take track 2, it is recommended that you get about 3 rec rides in first, or go out to some of the other programs offered such as skills and drills or learn to ride. If you are interested in getting Track 2 please post below and maybe there are some evenings we could get a carload of people in to rec rides before doing Track 2. Following that, a Track 2 course is being offered January 20 and then again Feb 15.
If there is enough interest I would be up for driving me + 3 people (or 4 people who can squeeze like sardines) Tuesday evening this coming week. We could possibly get a regular weekly track trip going if that day works out for people.
