Hi Everyone,
The fit kits have come in and I’ll be making a trip to Waterloo to hold a couple of fitting sessions so that people can try on the gear!
If people would still like to order gear it’s not too late but this will be your last chance to purchase the gear. I’d like to encourage people to buy more bibs/armwarmers because we are still 4 bibs short for an order as well as 4 armwarmers short! Note: A recent quote from LG has a reduced price on arm warmers. The price of Arm warmers is $29.
The first fitting session will be held at 7pm at the PAC. We’ll be meeting at the PAC Tote desk at 7pm and use the PAC bathrooms / change rooms for people to try on the gear.
I’ll be holding a second fitting session on Saturday. The time for this fitting session is 2pm however I’ll be in Waterloo all day and can change the time if it works better for everyone else’s schedules.
Please e-mail me at aldo_1987@hotmail.com to let me know if you are coming in for a fitting session.
I’ll be requiring a $40 deposit for jerseys, $45 for bibs, and $20 for arm warmers by Wednesday October 8th. The remaining balance can be paid off when the jerseys come in. People can pay the deposit in person during the fitting session or they can mail me a cheque (e-mail me for my address). Please wait until I can confirm that we have enough bibs for an order before giving me a deposit for the bibs.

We’re probably going to see a few mm of rain tomorrow, so the ride is off. Next week looks good! I believe Wednesday CX practice is still on, and will run rain or shine. I’ll be out regardless.

Mens A:
Brandon Tulloch 29th
Matt Cassell 31st
Mens B:
Jeff Moote 15th
Jonathan Petsch 26th
Randy Lee 29th
Greg Hines 37th
Also, since Evan was wearing half Waterloo kit, and is only a recent traitor, we’ll mention his blazing win over “Showboat” of Queen’s U. We still think that Waterloo should get half the points.
Other notable results from this weekend:
- Brendan Mackillop’s 8th place finish in the Solo category at the 8 hour on Saturday
- At the SRCC Guelph ‘cross, Nick Bishop rode to 2nd place in Beginner Men, while Mel took 5th in the Elite Women, and Eva 5th in the Masters
Hopefully I didn’t miss anyone - post here if I did!

So there seems to be a lot of interest, so it will be a go. We will meet in the PAC/SLC parking lot by the stairs at 5:30. If you are running a little bit late, we will hopefully end up in lot X behind optometry.
We will be doing drills to work on group riding skills, but it also seems like there may be a road ride going out after the session if people are interested.
See you tommorow

There seemed to be some interest in having a road skills session this year. If there is enough interest we could have one Monday September 29th at 5:30 PM in lieu of, or at the same time as the social ride. The session would cover the skills needed for group riding, including balance and cornering.
Respond here, or email me at m bunn at uwaterloo dot ca if you would like to attend. I will post on Sunday if it is going to go.

Come one come all: Tommorow at 5:30 in front of the Icefields gym. We will be working on dismounting and remounting our bikes. This is a useful skill for trail riding when you are uncomfortable with an obstacle, or it is just faster to run it. The session will be geared towards all levels on mountain and cyclocross bikes. Find out which you prefer, the cowboy or the superman!
The skills practice will go from 5:30~6:30, after which we will set up a small course to ride around, at your own pace, or someone else’s (if you want to suffer), whatever floats your boat.
Hope to see you out there tomorrow
